Participation Details

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to test the ease of use, appearance, attractiveness, and content of our simulation for women in the life sciences. The simulation aims to inform women scientists about what is involved in starting a business and to inspire them to learn more and consider trying it.

Participation and Data: Your participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time. All survey submissions are kept confidential.

Honorarium: $20 to a food bank or $20 Amazon gift card

Who: To be included in this study, you must:

  • Be a woman who is:
    • a current undergrad or graduate student in the life sciences or related field, OR
    • a recent graduate (past 5 years) employed in a life science or related field, OR
    • an early entrepreneur in the life sciences.
  • Have access to a computer with an internet connection and be able to view the screen.
  • Be a U.S. resident.

Funding: Development was funded by grant # (Grant #2 R43 GM131458-01). This project is funded by National Institute of General Medical Sciences. Reviewed by the Clinical Tools Institutional Review Board and determined to be exempt and expedited. IRB approval number 2020/001.
